Suminagashi

Suminagashi is the art of Japanese paper marbling known as “floating or spilled ink”.  It is a calm and focused meditative activity.  You can use your marbled creations for scrapbooking papers, collage, endpapers in your altered books, incorporate them in your journal, as bookmarks. Other ideas are to use it as backgrounds for other media, for example, for painting or calligraphy. Laminate it to use as a placement and cut it to use as a mat for framing your other artwork.

Here is the supply list for the June 27th Workshop. This workshop is sponsored by the Franklin Public Library.
