Franklin Public Library 2021 Zoom Workshops.

A limited number of kits will be available to be picked up in advance at the library curbside book pick up. The supply list and preparation instructions are sent via email with a Zoom invite to all registrants.

The supply list is also posted here so, if you do not receive a kit you can create your own and still participate in the workshop. Or you can audit the workshop without a kit. All participants must register through the Library in order to gain access to the workshop.

The workshops are for adult and young adult artists, non-artists, and emerging creatives from all fields. No prior art experience is necessary, experienced artists may self-select how they would like to proceed after my initial demonstration. Workshops descriptions and content are subject to change depending on material availability.

Let’s Make Some Small Books

In this workshop we will explore different techniques for cutting, stitching, and folding small books. The techniques covered can be further developed to create personal handmade notebooks and keepsake. Honestly making these books is addicting – and there are so many directions to explore – from mixed media covers and pages to an abundance of book making techniques and styles. Just learning one or two stitches and the basic anatomy of a book is a great foundation for exploring this art and can bring many hours of creativity.

Sunday, May 23, 2021 – 4 PM on Zoom. Sponsored by the Franklin Public Library. Contact me for more information jacqueline@thecreativitycurator.com
